2026 Ad Valorem Stamp Duty

Applicable from 26 February 2026. Transactions at HK$4 million or below attract HK$100 AVD; higher values follow the Inland Revenue Department's progressive scale. The 7.5% residential AVD, Buyer's Stamp Duty and Special Stamp Duty demand-side measures were cancelled for transactions from 28 February 2024, so buyer status no longer changes this calculator's AVD result.

Example: A HK$5 million property attracts HK$112,500 AVD at 2.25%. Chargeable consideration, transaction date and special cases may change the amount.
